Use Different Versions Of Lambda Function In AWS API Gateway

In this article, we will use different versions of the lambda functions in AWS API Gateway.

Create A Lambda Function

The first step is to create a Lambda function.

Modify The Lambda Function And Deploy

The next step is to modify the code in the Lambda function and deploy the changes.

Publish A New Version

Publish a new version of the Lambda function.

Create An API Gateway

The first step is to create an API gateway. Inside the API gateway, create a GET resource that invokes the Lambda function.

Deploy The API

Deploy the API and check the output.

Modify The Lambda Code And Publish A New Version

The next step is to modify the code.

Deploy the code and publish a new version.

Modify The API Gateway

Go to the Get request of the API Gateway.

Click on the Integration request. A screen will appear to modify the Lambda function. Specify the function version by appending :[version] after the Lambda function.

Click on the Save button. Deploy the API again and see the output.
