Azure Service Map

In this article, we will discuss the Azure service map.

What Is An Azure Service Map?

A service map is the real-time visual representation of the communication between the services in an application architecture.

For adding the service map in the log analytics workspace, search the Service Map service in the Azure Marketplace.

Click on the Service Map card to proceed further. On the next screen, click on the Create button (see the picture below).

On the next screen, you can enter the data to add the service map to the log analytics workspace.

The service map is added in the log analytics workspace. You can check by clicking on the Solutions tab.

As we are using the Windows operating system, we will log in to the virtual machine using RDP.

Open PowerShell and write the following command: -

Invoke-WebRequest "https://aka.ms/dependencyagentwindows" -OutFile InstallDependencyAgent-Windows.exe.\InstallDependencyAgent-Windows.exe /S

Once the agent is installed, you can check the installed service in windows services.
