Scheduled Scaling Of The Autoscaling Group In AWS

In this article, we will discuss the scheduled scaling of the autoscaling group in AWS.

Purpose

In the scheduled scaling, we can schedule the scaling (i.e., scaling is done at a given date and time) based on the predictable load changes.

How To Schedule A Scaling?

First, create an autoscaling group. Once the autoscaling group is created, go to the detail screen of the autoscaling group. In the detail screen, click on the Automatic scaling tab.

In the Automatic scaling tab, scroll down to the Scheduled actions section.

Click on the Create scheduled action button. A popup window will appear where you can set the schedule.

Set the schedule and click on the Create button. The schedule is created.
