Schedule The Automated Start And Stop Of The Virtual Machine In Azure

In this article, we will schedule the automated start and stop of the virtual machine in Azure.

Create A Virtual Machine

First, create a virtual machine.

Create An Automated Task

Once the virtual machine is created, click on the Tasks (preview).

A screen will appear on the right-side.

Click on the + Add a task button. As screen will appear to select the template.

Click on the Select > link of the Power off Virtual Machine. A list of connections will appear.

To change the status from Not connected to Connected, click on the Create button. A window will appear on the right-hand side.

Click on the Sign In button to log in. Once log in was done, the status is changed to Connected.

Click on the Next: Configure > button. Another screen appears to enter the schedule time and frequency.

Once the information is entered, click on the Review + create button for data validation. Once the data validation is done, click on the Create button to create the task.

The task is created.
