Types Of EC2 Hostnames Naming

There are 2 types of EC2 hostnames naming: -

In this type of naming convention, the private IP address is included in the hostname of the instance.

In this type of naming convention, the EC2 instance ID is included in the hostname of the instance.

While launching an EC2 instance, you have a dropdown Hostname type to select the hostname type.
