VPC Interface Endpoint In AWS

In this article, we will discuss the VPC interface endpoint in AWS.

Purpose

The VPC endpoint enables you to connect VPC to the AWS services without using the internet gateway.

How To Create A VPC Interface Endpoint?

To create a VPC endpoint, go to the VPC dashboard. On the VPC dashboard, click on the Endpoints menu.

The endpoint screen will appear on the right-hand side. Click on the Create endpoint button.

On the create endpoint screen, enter the Name.

In the Service Category, select the option AWS services (see the figure above). In the AWS service, select com.amazonaws.s3-global.accesspoint.

Scroll down to select the VPC and subnets.

Scroll down further, select the security groups.

Furthermore, scroll further to select the policy.

Finally, click on the Create endpoint button.

The interface endpoint is created.

If you select the interface endpoint, you can see the DNS names used to connect the AWS services.
