User Stories In Agile

In this article, we will discuss the user stories in Agile.

What Is A User Story?

A user story is a short, simple description of a feature or functionality from the end user's perspective, focusing on what they need and why.

Format

As a [user role], 
I want [what the user wants], 
so that [why the user wants it].

The parts of the user story are: -

Who	User role
What	What the user wants
Why	Why the user wants it

Example

As a customer, I want to track my order, so that I can know when it will arrive.

Who Writes The User Story?

Anyone who is part of the Scrum team can write a user story. However, it is primarily the Product Owner who writes user stories, as they are closest to the customer and responsible for managing the product backlog.

In some organizations, a Business Analyst may also help write user stories if one is present, assisting the Product Owner.
