User Pool In AWS Cognito

In this article, we will discuss the User pool in AWS Cognito.

Purpose

A user pool is the user directory in AWS Cognito. The users can authenticate their credentials using the user pool.

To create the user pool, search Cognito in the search box. Click on the Cognito service in the search result.

In the Cognito screen, click on the Create user pool button.

In step 1, select the sign-in option and click on the Next button.

In step 2, you can set the password policy.

Scroll down to enable multi-factor authentication.

Scroll down to the bottom to set the User account recovery. Click on the Next button.

In step 3, you have an option to enable self-registration.

Scroll down to the bottom and click on the Next button.

In step 4, you can optionally set the message delivery method.

In step 5, you can enter the User pool name.

Scroll down below and enter the App client name.

Finally, in step 6, you can review the information. Scroll to the bottom and click on the Create user pool button.
