‘Type Into’ Activity In Uipath

In this article, we will discuss "type into" activity in UiPath

Purpose

"Type Into" sends keyword to UI element.

Example

In this example, we will enter the hard-coded value "300" on a notepad. First, drag and drop "type into" onto the activity screen

The activity gets added as shown in screen shot below.

Here we have 2 sections: -

Indicate on screen – You can capture the UI element by clicking on it. Once you click on it, you can select the UI element

Once you click on it, element is added on the design screen

Text must be quoted – Here you can type the text

Now run the application and you will get following output

Stimulatetype Attribute

This attribute when enabled, type the text in the background i.e. you don’t see the typing of text. When this attribute is enabled, then the "Type Into" activity does not use the keyboard driver.

This attribute can be enabled/disabled from the property window of the "Type Into" activity.
