Timepicker In Android

In this article, we will discuss about timepicker control in android.

Purpose

Timepicker allows you to select the time of the day.

Example

In this example, we will display a timepicker control and on selecting the time, displays the time in the textview.

And Java code is

TimePicker MyTimePicker = (TimePicker) findViewById(R.id.MyTimePicker);
MyTimePicker.setOnTimeChangedListener(new TimePicker.OnTimeChangedListener() {
    @Override
    public void onTimeChanged(TimePicker view, int hourOfDay, int minute) {
        TextView txtView = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.tvGetDate);

        txtView.setText(hourOfDay + ":" + minute);
    }
});

Set The Hour And Minute Of Timepicker

We can set the hour and minute using setHour and setMinute function. Here is the code, we are adding on button click

TimePicker MyTimePicker = (TimePicker)findViewById(R.id.MyTimePicker);
MyTimePicker.setHour(13);
MyTimePicker.setMinute(22);
