Steps To Delete The Recovery Services Vault In Azure






Steps


  1. The first step is to disable soft delete. For that, go to the "Properties" and then click on the "Update" link of the "Security Settings"

  3. A screen will appear to disable the soft delete. Select the disable and click on the "Save" button

  5. Next step is to delete the backup items. For that, click on "Backup Items". A list of items will appear on the right-hand side. In this example, we will click on the "Azure Virtual Machine" as this is the only item, we have in the recovery services vault

  7. A list of backup items will appear. Click on the ellipsis and select the "Stop backup" option

  9. A window will appear where you can stop the backup process and delete the existing backup. Enter all the details and click on the "Stop backup" button

  11. Once the backup is deleted, click on the "Overview" tab of the selected Recovery Services Vault and click on the "Delete" button

  13. Once you click the "Delete" button, a confirmation screen will appear. Click on the "Yes" button to start the deletion process
