SQS Delay Queue In AWS

In this article, we will discuss the SQS delay queue in AWS.

Purpose

Delay queues postpone the delivery of new messages to the customer for a specified number of seconds. In other words, the message will be invisible to the customer for a specified number of seconds and after that, it will become visible.

How To Configure Delay Queue?

While creating the queue, you can specify the time in the Delivery delay field.

The time could be specified either in minutes or seconds.

What Is The Maximum Delay We Can Specify?

The maximum delay time you can specify is 15 minutes.
