Setup The Connection Between Azure Devops And Cloud

In this article, we will set up a connection of sonarcloud in Azure Devops.

Install Sonarcloud In Azure Devops

First, install sonarcloud inside the DevOps so that it will appear in the DevOps portal while establishing the service connection.

For that, go to the following URL - https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/. In the portal, click on the "Azure DevOps" tab.

In the search box, search for the sonarcloud and click on the "SonarCloud" card.

In the sonarcloud page, click on the "Get it Free" button.

A page appears where you can select the organization and click on the "Install" button to complete the installation.

Creation Of Sonarcloud Token

To create the sonarcloud token, go to the following URL - https://sonarcloud.io/. In the website, click on the "Azure DevOps" button.

Once you click on the button, a screen appears asking for permission.

Once you login, click on the "My Account" menu.

In the security tab, enter the token name and click on the "Generate" button.

The token will be generated.

Establishing A Connection Of Sonarcloud With Devops

To establish a connection, click on the "Project Settings"

Inside the "Pipelines", click on the "Service Connections".

A screen appears on the right-hand side. Click on the button "Create service connection".

A docked window appears on the right-hand side. Search for the "Sonarcloud".

Select "Sonarcloud" and click on the "Next" button. A window appears, where you can specify the token (Generated previously) and the connection name.

Once the information is entered, click on the "Verify and save" button. A connection will be established.
