Set Web Attribute In Uipath

In this article, we will discuss "Set Web Attribute" in UiPath.

What Is A Web Attribute?

Web page has multiple UI elements like textbox, dropdown, radio button etc. Each UIelement in UiPath has a set of properties.

For example, a textbox contains multiple attributes like type, Id etc.

Purpose Of The “Set Web Attribute” Activity

This activity changes the value of the web attribute.

Example

In this example, we will change the value of the "type" attribute from "password" to "text". Consider the following example where we have a login screen with the user name and the password fields.

The text in the password screen is not visible because the type attribute is "password". Now, we will change it to "text".

To do that: -

Drag and drop the "Set Web Attribute" on the designer screen

Click on the link "Indicate on screen" link to capture the web element
Once captured, specify the value of attribute as "type" and value as "text"

Change the value of type attribute from password to text
