Read The Form Fields From PDF Document In Automation Anywhere 10.5

In this article, we will read the form fields from PDF document.

Sample PDF Document

For this article I have done the following tasks

Download the PDF file from http://foersom.com/net/HowTo/data/OoPdfFormExample.pdf
Fill the form with some values

In the ‘PDF Integration’ command, there is an option ‘Extract Form Fields’.

First, we will create a variable in ‘Variable Manager’ and assign the value from PDF in that

Drag and drop ‘Extract Form Fields’ and you will get following window.

Here we will follow these steps

Here you have right clicked on the field to be read and click on ‘Add Field’. Following window will appear.

In the above image, we have assigned the value of the field to a variable ‘GivenName’. Click ‘Ok’.

Select the field and click on ‘Save’. Finally, we display the variable in a message box

Now run the task and you will get following output
