One-On-One Relationships In Mongodb

In this article, we will discuss one-on-one relationships in MongoDB.

As Embedded Document

With the embedded document, one document is nested inside another document. Consider the following example: -

   "_id": ObjectId("6091d4cb4ccdbfb4cc7f8422"),
   "name": "John Doe",
   "email": "johndoe@gmail.com",
   "address": {
      "street": "123 Main St",
      "city": "Anytown",
      "state": "CA",
      "zip": "12345"
   }
}

In the above code, the address is the subdocument nested inside the main document.

As Referenced Document

In the case of the referenced document, two collections are created i.e., one for the parent document and other for the child document.
