Make The File Stored In The S3 Bucket As Public In AWS

In this article, we will make the file stored in the S3 bucket as public in AWS.

Create A S3 Bucket

While creating the S3 bucket, enable the option ACLs enabled.

For this article, we have uploaded an image file in the S3 bucket.

Access the file using the URL and you will get the following error.

First, go to the Permissions tab and click on the Edit button in the Block public access (bucket settings) section.

The edit screen will appear. Uncheck the checkbox Block All public access and click on the Save Changes.

A popup window will appear for confirmation.

Write the word confirm in the textbox and click on the Confirm button.

To make the image public, click on the image name.

In the detail screen, click on the object actions → Make public using ACL.

A confirmation screen appears. Click on the Make public button

A message appears to confirm that image is now public.

You can now access the image using the URL.
