Log Group And Log Insight In AWS CloudWatch

In this article, we will discuss Log Group and Log Insight in AWS CloudWatch.

Log Streams

A log stream is a sequence of log events that share the same data source.

Log Group

A log group is a group of log streams that share the same retention, monitoring, and access control settings.

How To Create A Log Group?

To create the log group, click on the Log Group menu.

A screen will appear on the right-hand side. Click on the Create log group button.

In the Create log group screen, enter the Log group name and select the Retention setting. Click on the Create button to create the log group.

Log Insight

Log Insight is for querying Log Groups.

How To Query Log Group?

To query the log group, go to the Log Insight screen. In the Log Insight screen, you can execute the query.
