What Is Jmeter?







Install Jmeter




  1. Go to the URL - https://jmeter.apache.org/download_jmeter.cgi
  2. Click on the zip version
  3. Picture showing the link to download jmeter

  4. Once the zip file gets downloaded, extract the files and put it in some other folder.



Open Jmeter




  1. Go to bin folder
  2. Click on jmeter.bat

  1. Add JMETER_HOME in environment variables and set its value to jMeter folder.

  3. Add an entry in the path for jMeter folder.

Different Folders In Jmeter


  1. Bin folder – This folder contains jmeter batch file used to start jmeter. This folder also contains apachejmeter.jar and properties file.
  2. Docs – This folder contains jmeter documentation files.
  3. Extra – This folder contains the ant related extra files.
  4. Lib folder – This folder contains the java supporting libraries required to run jmeter.
