Install Postgresql

Download Setup

1. Go to the URL- https://www.postgresql.org/download/windows/
2. Click on the link – ‘Download the installer’.

3. Another screen will appear to select the version of postgreSql based on your operating system

Install Postgresql

1. Double click on the setup, first window will appear. Click on ‘Next>’.

2. Second screen ask you the select installation directory. You can choose the default location or choose the new location. After selecting location, click on ‘Next >’.

3. In the third window, I can select the components I want to install. Click on ‘Next >’

4. In the fourth window, you can select the super admin user name and password. After entering the credentials, click on ‘Next >’.

5. In the fifth window, you can select the port number. By default the port number is 5432. Click on ‘Next >’.

6. Sixth window asks you the select the locale. Click on ‘Next >’ after selecting locale.

7. Seventh window will give you the pre installation summary.

8. In the eighth window, you can click on ‘Next >’ to start installation.
