Install And Configure Android Studio






Download Android Studio




  1. Visit to the URL - https://developer.android.com/studio
  2. Click on ‘Download Android Studio’ to download the set up.

Install Android Studio




  1. Once the setup is downloaded, click on exe to install.
  2. First window contains welcome message. Click on ‘Next’ button.

  4. Next window allows you to choose components. Select the components and click on ‘Next’.

  6. In the next window, select the installation location and click on ‘Next’.

  8. Next window asks for the start menu folder. Click on ‘Install’ to complete the installation.

Configure Android Studio




  1. Open the android studio.
  2. First window will come with the welcome message. Click on ‘Next’.

  4. Next window asks for the installation type, click on ‘Custom’ and click ‘Next’.

  6. Next step allow you to select the UI theme. Select your theme and click on ‘Next’.

  8. Next step allows you to select SDK components. Make sure you select the ‘Android Virtual Device’ and click on ‘Next’.

  10. Next screen is about emulator settings. Here there is no action from your side. Simply click on ‘Next’.

  12. Final screen would be to verify all the settings we have done. If you are fine with all the settings, click on ‘Finish’.

Install Haxm




  1. Open android studio.
  2. Click on Configure → AVD Manager

  4. In the AVD manager window, click on ‘Install HAXM’

  6. An emulator settings screen will appear, click on ‘Next’.
