IIF Function In The SQL Server

In this article, we will discuss the IIF function in the SQL server.

Purpose

The IIF returns the value if the condition is true and returns the other value if the condition is false.

IIF(condition, value_if_true, value_if_false)

Declare @number as int

Set @number = 1

SELECT IIF(@number %2 = 0 , 'Even', 'Odd');


Set @number = 2

SELECT IIF(@number %2 = 0 , 'Even', 'Odd');
