Get Environment Folder Activity In Uipath

In this article, we will discuss the "Get Environment Folder" activity in UiPath.

Purpose

In the Windows operating system, there are some system-defined folders like "Desktop", "program", "history", "cookies" etc. The "Get Environment Folder" activity returns the path of these system-defined folders.

Example

In this example, we will get the path of the "Desktop" folder. For that, we will work on the following steps: -

Drag and drop the "Get Environment Folder" activity on the designer window
In the "Get Environment Folder" activity, select the option "Desktop" from the "Special Folder" dropdown
Assign the output to a string variable
Display the value of the variable in the message box
