File Change Trigger Activity In Uipath

In this article, we will discuss "File Change Trigger" activity in UiPath.

Purpose

The "File Change Trigger" activity triggers when the change happens in the specific file or folder.

A file is either created/deleted/changed/removed. The "ChangeType" attribute specifies which changes should be watched.

The "NotifyFilters" attribute specifies which attribute of the file/folder is changed.

In this example, we will trigger the change event when some content is added in the text file. For that, we will perform these steps.

Drag and drop the "Trigger Scope" activity on the designer screen.
In the "Triggers" section of the "Trigger Scope" activity, drag and drop the "File Change Trigger".

Specify the path and file name inside in the "File Change Trigger" activity.
Specify the "ChangeType" and "NotifyFilters" attribute of the "File Change Trigger".

Inside the "Actions" section of the "Trigger Scope" activity, specify the action. For this example, we are displaying the message box.

When you change in the text file, a message will appear.
