Error Handling In Automation Anywhere 10.5

In this article, we will discuss on error handling in automation anywhere.

Example

In this example, we will try to open an excel file with invalid path and log the error in log file.

Once you drag and drop ‘Begin Error Handling’, following window will come

Here I have selected the option ‘Log Data into File’ and inside it we have 2 fields

Log File – Here you will specify the complete path of the log file.
Text – Text to be written in log file in case of error. Here I am using 2 predefined variables i.e. ‘$Error Line Number$’ and ‘$Error Description$’ to specify the line number where the error has occurred and the error description.

So, the final error code would be
