Egress-Only Internet Gateway In AWS

In this article, we will discuss the egress-only internet gateway in AWS.

Purpose

The egress-only internet gateway is used for outbound-only internet connection for IPV6. It means that your instance can access the internet but the resources on the internet cannot initiate the communication with your instance.

How To Create An Egress-Only Internet Gateway?

The first step is to search for the egress-only internet gateway service in the search box. Click on the Egress-only internet gateways service.

The following screen will appear.

Click on the Create egress only internet gateway button. The following screen will appear.

Enter the information and click on the Create egress only internet gateway button to create the gateway.
