Duration Assertion In Jmeter

In this article, we will discuss "duration assertion" in jmeter.

Purpose

"Duration assertion" validates the response load time with the specific amount of time. If the load time is more, then "duration assertion" will return false else true.

Add Duration Assertion

To add "duration assertion"

Right-click on the "Thread Group".
Go to "Add" → "Assertions" → "Duration Assertion".

Specifying The Duration

In "Duration Assertion", you can specify the "Duration in milliseconds".

Output

Start the execution and observe the load time of the response.

In the above execution, load time is 724 milliseconds and duration in milliseconds is 325 milliseconds. So, the above execution fails.
