Different Access Levels Of The Container And Blobs In The Azure Storage Account

In this article, we will discuss different access levels of the container and blobs in the Azure storage account.

Creating A New Storage Account

First, create a new storage account. Inside the storage account, create a container. Then upload a text file inside the container.

We will upload the following sample file inside the container.

Here is the file uploaded inside the container.

If you click on the resource, you can see the URL assigned to the resource.

If you browse the URL on the browser, you will get the following error.

Different Access Level

There are three different access levels you can assign: -

Private (no anonymous access) - The resource is private and cannot be accessed without logging on to the Azure portal
Blob (anonymous read access for blobs only) - The blob can be accessed publicly
Container (anonymous read access for container and blob) - The container and the blob can be accessed publicly

Once you change the access level, you can see the text file on the browser.
