Credentials Reports In AWS

In this article, we will discuss credentials reports in AWS.

Purpose

The credential report contains the list of users along with different information like passwords, access keys, etc. For more information on the report format, you can visit this link.

Report Generation Frequency

You can generate the report after every 4 hours. If the report is generated before 4 hours, then the last generated report will be downloaded.

Permission Required To Create And Download Report

The following permissions are required for report creation and download.

Permission	Purpose
iam:GenerateCredentialReport	For report creation
iam:GetCredentialReport	For downloading the report

How To Generate A Report From The AWS Console?

First, search credentials report in the search box. Click on the Credential report service in the search result.

On the Credential report screen, you have a Download Report button for downloading the report.

Please note that the Download Report button will generate and download the report.
