Create Your First Automation Using Automation Anywhere 10.5

In this article, we will create our first automation.

Steps

For this article, we will follow these steps

Open the recorder and record the activity.
Stop recording
Run the recording

Open The Recorder And Record The Activity

To open the recorder, click on either ‘New’ button in tool bar or File – New in menu bar (see the screen shot below)

Once you click on ‘New’, following window will appear

Here I have selected ‘Smart Recorder’. Once you click on the ‘Smart Recorder’ following window will appear

The above window list down all the active windows on your system. In the above screen shot, there are 2 active windows i.e. MS Paint and excel.

Here I have selected the excel (Book1-Excel) and click on ‘Start’. Once you click on ‘Start’ button, excel sheet gets opened with ‘Stop’ and ‘Pause’ button as shown in screen shot below

You can do any activity like writing text in the cells, selecting multiple cells, deleting data from cells etc.

Stop Recording

Once the activity is done, you can click on ‘Stop’ button. Once you click on ‘Stop’, following window will appear

Here you can select the directory, file name and click on ‘Save’ button. Once saved, the task is displayed in task panel.

Run The Recording

To run the recording, right click on the task and click on ‘Run’
