Create Our First Virtual Network In Azure

In this article, we will create our first virtual network in Azure.

Steps

The first step is to search for the word virtual in the search box. Click on Virtual networks in the search result.

A screen will appear to create the virtual network. Click on the + Add button to create the virtual network.

In the create screen, enter the virtual network information, and click on the Next: IP Addresses > button.

A screen will appear to show to address space. By default, the address space is 10.0.0.0/16.

Click on the Review + create button for data validation. Once the data is validated, click on the Create button to create the virtual network.

Once the virtual network is created, click on the Subnets submenu inside the virtual network. You will see a default subnet created inside the virtual network.

Virtual Machine Creation

While creating the virtual machine, you can select the virtual network which is created in the last section.

The rest of the steps are the same. You can go ahead and create the virtual machine.

Connected Devices In Virtual Machine

You can check which devices are using the virtual network. For that, you can click on the Connected devices submenu.

In the above figure, you can see the virtual machine connected to the virtual network.
