Create Our First Chatbot In AWS

In this article, we will create our first chatbot in AWS.

Steps

First, search for Amazon Lex in the search result.

In the Lex screen, click on the Create bot button.

In the Step 1 of the Configure bot settings, enter the following values: -

Fields	Value
Bot name	< your custom bot name >
Runtime role	Create a role with basic Amazon Lex permissions
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)	No

Click on the Next button to proceed to Step 2. In Step 2, you can add a language to the bot.

Click on the Done button. The page is redirected to the intent page. In the intent page, scroll down to the utterances section.

Enter the utterance and click on the Add utterance button. Once the utterance is added, click on the Save Intent button.

Once the intent is saved, click on the Built button.

Once the build is completed, click on the Test button.

A chat window will open.
