Create Custom Templates In Jmeter

In this article, we will create our custom templates in jMeter.

Create A Sample Test Plan

First create a sample test plan that contains

Sampler (HTTP request)
Listener (View Result Tree)

Now save this as FirstTemplate.jmx inside the bin folder

Add Entry Into Templates.Xml

Go to bin → templates and open templates.xml. Add following entry inside templates

<template isTestPlan="true">
	<name>My First Template</name>
	<fileName>/bin/FirstTemplate.jmx</fileName>
	<description>
		<![CDATA[<h1>My First Template </h1>] ]>
	</description>
</template>

Here is the screen shot

Templates Window

Now open templates window (File → Templates..). You can see your custom template
