Create A Container With The Ubuntu Image In Docker

In this article, we will create a container with the ubuntu image.

Prerequisite

Before you start reading this article, make sure that Docker is installed on your machine.

Create A Container

Use the following command to create the container with an ubuntu image: -

sudo -i
docker run --name c2 -it -d -p 84:80 ubuntu

In the above code, c2 is the container name and 84 is the port number.

Install Apache In The Ubuntu Container

To install an Apache server, write the following commands: -

docker exec -it c2 bash
apt update
apt install apache2

In the above code, the first command will open the command prompt in the bash mode.

Finally, check the status of Apache using the following command: -

service apache2 status
