Count Function In Excel

In this article, we will discuss count function in excel.

Purpose

Purpose of count function is to count the number of cells. It is important to note that count function ignores those cells that do not contain any value.

Count function also ignores the non-numeric values. It means that if there are 3 cells with 2 numeric values and one alphabet then count will return 2.

Syntax

=Count(item1, item2….)
Or
=Count(Range of cells)
