Configure AWS CLI

In this article, we will configure AWS CLI.

How To Install CLI?

You can download CLI using the following URL: -

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/userguide/install-cliv2.html

Steps

First, open the command prompt. Write the following command: -

aws configure

Once you enter the above command, other information like access key, secret key and region are required to be filled.

Once the information is filled, your AWS CLI will be configured.

How To Generate Access And The Secret Key?

To generate the access key and the secret key of the root user, go to the IAM module. On the IAM Dashboard, click on the Manage access keys button.

The My security credentials screen will appear. On the screen, click on the Create access keys button in the Access keys section.

A screen will appear to create the security credentials. Check the checkbox I understand creating a root access key is not a best practice, but I still want to create one. and click on the Create access keys button to create the credentials.
