Composite Alarm In AWS Cloudwatch

In this article, we will discuss the composite alarm in AWS CloudWatch.

Purpose

A composite alarm consists of multiple individual alarms.

First, create a simple alarm.

Select the simple alarm and click on the Create composite alarm button to create a composite alarm. In the first screen, specify the condition(s).

Click on the Next button to proceed. In the next screen, you will specify the topic (i.e., who will receive the message when the alarm will trigger).

Scroll down to the bottom and click on the Next button.

In the next screen, we will specify the Alarm name.

Click on the Next button. The review screen will appear.

Click on the Create composite alarm button to create the alarm.
