Binomial Logistic Regression Algorithm In Machine Learning

This article describes the Binomial Logistic Regression algorithm.

Purpose

Binomial Logistic Regression is a statistical method used to predict the probability of a binary outcome (e.g., yes/no) based on one or more independent variables.

Sigmoid Function

The sigmoid function is a mathematical function that maps any real-valued number to a value between 0 and 1.

In the above function, e is Euler's number. The value is 2.71828.

Create A Graph

Prediction

The sigmoid function outputs a probability, which is converted to 0 if it's less than 0.5, and to 1 if it's 0.5 or higher.
