Purpose









Types Of Lock




  1. CanNotDelete lock → This type of lock allows the authorized user to modify the resource but does not have permission to delete the resource
  2. ReadOnly lock → This type of lock does not allow the user to modify or delete the resource

Does The Lock Change The Behavior Of The Resource?





How To Apply The Lock?




  1. Go to the resource group where you want to apply the lock
  2. On the left-hand side window, click on the Locks
  3. On the right-hand side, click on the + Add button to add a new lock

  5. In the add screen, enter the Lock name, and Lock type and click on the Ok button. In the Lock Type field, we have two values i.e., Delete and Read-only

  7. A lock is created on the resource group
