AWS Tag Editor

In this article, we will discuss the AWS tag editor.

Purpose

The tag editor is used to add, update, and delete tags from multiple resources in one go.

How To Use The Tag Editor?

The first step is to search the tag editor in the AWS console. Click on the Resource Groups & Tag Editor in the search result.

The tag editor screen will appear.

Select the search criteria i.e., Regions, Resource types or Tag – Optional and click on the Search resources button. The result will appear below.

Select the resource and click on Manage tags of selected resources. The following screen will appear.

Enter the Tag key and Tag value – optional in the Edit tags of all selected resources and click on the Review and apply tag changes button.

A popup window will appear for confirmation.

Click on the Apply changes to all selected button. The tag will be applied to the resource.
