In this article, we will discuss AWS shield.

Purpose

The AWS shield provides protection against DDoS attacks.

There are 2 plans for AWS Shield: -

This plan is free and enabled by default.

The AWS Shield Advanced Plan provides more features compared to the standard plan. But you pay 3000$/month for enabling the Advanced plan.

For AWS shield, search the word waf in the search box. Click on the WAF & Shield service in the search result.
