Authenticate Storage Accounts Using The Azure Active Directory

In this article, we will authenticate storage accounts using the Azure active directory.

Creation Of A Storage Account

First, upload a text file inside the container of a storage account.

Next step is to create a new user.

In the storage account, go to "Access Management (IAM)". Click on "+ Add" → "Add role assignment".

Add the following role for the user: -

To connect to the Azure storage explorer: -

Another window will appear to select the Azure environment. Select the "Azure" radio button and click on the "Next" button

A popup window will appear to enter the username and password
Once the username and password are authenticated, you can see the storage account connected using the explorer
