Abs Function In Excel

abs function is used to find the absolute value of the number.

What Is Absolute Value Of A Number?

In mathematics, absolute value of a number is the distance of that number from zero in the number line (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_line).

For example the distance between -4 and 4 from zero is 4.

So, the output of absolute number is a positive number.

Syntax

=ABS(number) or =ABS(excel_cell)
