.Net Upgrade Assistant Extension

In this article, we will discuss the .Net upgrade assistant extension.

Purpose

The .Net upgrade assistant extension is used to upgrade the .net framework version to the higher versions.

For this article, we are using Visual Studio 2022. The first step is to install the.Net upgrade extension from the marketplace.

To upgrade the project, open the project in Visual Studio. Right-click on the project and click on Upgrade.

The upgrade assistant will appear.

Click on the Upgrade project to a newer .NET version option. In the next screen, select In-place project upgrade option.

Click on the Next button. In the next screen, select the preferred .net version.

Click on the Next button. The next screen allows you to select the component to upgrade.

Click on the Upgrade selection button to start the upgradation.

You can see the progress on the next screen.
