__Counter Function In Jmeter

In this article, we will discuss __counter function in jmeter.

Purpose

__counter function generates a new number every time (depends upon the input parameter). It starts with 1 and increments by 1.

There are 2 values of input parameter

In this example, we have created a "Thread Group". Inside it we have a sampler and a listener.

Add counter function in "HTTP Request"

After that, set the count to 3 for the thread group.

Execute with the value as “true”. The value of the counter will not increase.

Execute with the value as "false". The value of the counter will increase.
